UPDATE DELAYED DUE TO WEATHER …. BrightRidge asks customers to hold electronic payments Saturday, notify of outages Monday and Tuesday


 

Due to harsh winter weather conditions, the planned system updates have been delayed.

A new notice will be issued when these updates can be applied.

JOHNSON CITY – Technology upgrades will impact the BrightRidge SmartHub mobile application and other electronic payment systems on Saturday while automated metering system improvements will temporarily impact automated outage notification on Monday and Tuesday.

BrightRidge will be implementing significant updates to its enterprise data management system on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. During this time, BrightRidge will be unable to accept or process payments electronically and SmartHub mobile and desktop applications will be inoperable.

Further, BrightRidge Electric’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure will undergo software updates on Monday and Tuesday. AMI provides automatic system and outage notifications to customers and system operators. However, the BrightRidge metering system will be inoperable from 10 a.m. Monday to 3 p.m. Tuesday due to software updates.

In addition, the outage map posted on BrightRidge.com will be inoperable through the restoration of metering functionality on Tuesday afternoon.

With this in mind, any BrightRidge customer experiencing an outage on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday should report the outage by phoning BrightRidge at 423-952-5000 to report an outage. The system is automated, so please leave a message. Messages are checked regularly
