Outage planned Tuesday for neighborhoods in vicinity of Rotary & Civitan Park

About 120 downtown Johnson City electric system customers are scheduled for a planned outage Tuesday, April 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as weather permits.

The outage will permit BrightRidge crews to safely replace conductor wire which provides electric service to the area. The outage will impact Johnson City’s Rotary & Civitan parks as well some nearby customers in the vicinity of East Chilhowie Avenue, East Holston Avenue, East 8th, East 9th , East 10th & East 11th avenues, Peterson Place and Earl Court.

Persons with in-home medical device charging needs should plan ahead and seek other charging alternatives, while motorists traveling in these areas should be alert for BrightRidge personnel and use the utmost caution.
