We strive to make a positive difference in the communities we are privileged to serve, embodying the public power model of serving people to improve lives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BrightRidge offers five specific school programs tailored for K-12<sup>th<\/sup> grade students and are offered within school-sponsored programs only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>In class STEM Education<\/strong> \u2013 in partnership with the Hands ON! Discovery Center in Gray, <em>Shocking Science Experience<\/em> programs are offered to all Washington County and Johnson City Schools for 3<sup>rd<\/sup> \u2013 5<sup>th<\/sup> grade classrooms. Educational programs are tailored to meet classroom time schedules.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>STEM Fairs<\/strong> &#8211; Additionally, this Shocking Science station is presented at STEM-related Fairs for grades K-6<sup>th<\/sup> grade.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electric Safety Education Demonstration<\/strong> \u2013 focused for grades K-6<sup>th<\/sup>, this is a 45 minute in-classroom demonstration that teaches basic electrical safety as it relates to an electrical utility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Touch-a-Truck<\/strong> \u2013 focused for grades K-3<sup>rd<\/sup>, this is a hands-on event that allows children the opportunity to learn firsthand about an electric service truck that brings power to homes and businesses in their community.
